And it probably means you are undecided between two candidates. So, we have a couple of solutions for you. One solution, hire both! Couldn’t you really use two great people like this? I bet your recruiter would even give you a pretty good break on the fee for the second hire.
Ok, so if you can’t hire two people, we’ll understand. What’s the second solution? Hire the candidate who wants the job the most. But it isn’t always so easy to figure this out. One candidate may be willing to crawl over burning BBQ briquettes to get the job. The other one may be “willing” to take the job, but only if offered a private office and a BMW lease. This seems like a no-brainer, IF you know your candidates. The recruiter should know this. So ask!
